June 13 marked the one year mark of having Mila in our lives. She's come a long way since we picked her up from the rescue shelter. Her tail no longer goes between her legs when we pet her, she wanders the house without the fear that we'll abandon her, and her mouth is open more and more...a sure sign of a relaxed pup. We're still holding out hope that she will one day walk on a loose leash and won't jump 6 foot fences. One day. Maybe.
